Youth of the Year 2024

The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester presents our 2024 Youth of the Year Competition at the Rochester Civic Theatre.
Now in its 77th year, the Youth of the Year program honors our nation’s most awe-inspiring young people on their path to great futures. Club members who earn the Youth of the Year title embody the values of leadership service; academic excellence; and healthy lifestyles. Youth of the Year candidates are judged based on categories of written essays, panel interviews, and public speaking.
Competition begins at 5:30 pm.
Fore the Kids Golf Scramble, 2nd Annual
Calling all golfers! Your clubs can help our Boys & Girls Club. Now entering its second year, Fore the Kids golf scramble is sure to be a hoot. It will be a day of fun and camaraderie on the greens in support of Boys & Girls Club programs and services that benefit Rochester youth.

A Chair Affair
A Chair Affair returns to the Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Widely regarded as the city's most prestigious black-tie social event, selling out over 500 tickets each year, A Chair Affair has raised millions of dollars for Rochester youth in need.
This year promises an elevated experience for guests, including alluring entertainment, scrupulously curated VIP benefits, an epicurean menu by J. Powers, extraordinary luxury auction packages, and the gala's namesake, artisan-made chairs.

Chili Challenge 2022

Chili Challenge is back and better than ever! Join us for an evening of chili and brews and bands at the Riverfront Plaza in downtown Rochester. Local businesses and restaurants will all have their chili ready for you to try. Rank your favorites and at the end of the night, a winner will be announced. Kid-friendly food will be served by the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. Family Games & Activities (Cornhole, face painting, giant bubbles, yard games) will be available for all kids & those young at heart.
Homebrewers from across town will have samples for you to try & vote on (sample them all!). Purchase additional pints from your favorite local breweries: Little Thistle Brewing, LTS Brewing Company, and Chaotic Good Brewing Company.

It will be a day of fun and camaraderie on the greens in support of Boys & Girls Club programs and services that benefit Rochester youth. Highlights include:

Marcus Sherels Pop-Up Vaccination Event
Meet former MN Viking Marcus Sherels at Boys & Girls Club for a drop-in vaccine clinic provided by the MN Department of Health. The first 30 attendees to get a vaccine will receive an autographed NFL football. Activities for the entire family. Giveaways every hour, with a grand prize Apple iPad 8.2. Games and activities for the kids. Mayo Clinic physicians will be on hand to answer questions and provide vaccine education.
